This is a bit strange, as Syracuse and Pitt have been conference rivals for years between the Big East and ACC, and Syracuse has played at Pitt in two of the last three years, so having Boeheim in the Pete isn't a novel thing like it may be for some of SU's new ACC conference-mates. It is neat to see both parties taking the time to do this, and for the famously rowdy Oakland Zoo showing so much respect for Boeheim. It's probably a bit easier when your school hasn't lost to that coach at home since 2004.
No. 1 Syracuse and No. 25 Pitt tip-off at 7:00 pm, and with the cancellation of Duke-UNC, is the biggest game of the night.
