What Seed Did Syracuse Get In The 2014 NCAA Tournament?

Seed: For the upcoming 2014 NCAA Tournament, the Syracuse Orange were given a 3-seed in the South-region. They are coached by Jim Boeheim and hail from the ACC.

You can view the entire 2014 NCAA Tournament field here in our official bracket.

Where: They will open play against Western Michigan in Buffalo on Thursday.

Why: Syracuse finished the regular season with an 14-4 record in the ACC, good for second place in the conference behind Virginia. The Orange posted notable victories over Baylor, Indiana, North Carolina, Pittsburgh (twice), Duke and Florida State.

Ceiling: Syracuse, ranked No. 1 for a good portion of the year, opened the season with 25 straight wins before falling apart down the stretch in ACC play. Junior forward Jerami Grant and his back issue may be the most important thing to keep an eye on for Orange fans - if he's good to go, they could easily make another Final Four run. If not, they could easily get bounced in the first weekend.
