Yahoo Sports is reporting that over the past ten years, at least 10 players have tested positive for banned substances, yet were allowed to participate in practices and games.
It is unknown whether the current team is implicated, but apparently the 2002-2003 NCAA Championship team could be involved.
The sources say SU was negligent with the positive test results and didn't suspend the players, who should have been ineligible. Both violate the school's drug policy. If Syracuse did this knowingly, it could have also crossed the NCAA's "willful violators" clause.
Boeheim, who has gotten in trouble for running his mouth before, merely said, "I don’t know anything about it. I would not comment on anything like that. Good luck with your story.” Head over to Yahoo for the full report >>
