Four-star wide receiver Malcolm Johnson Jr. is a superb athlete with top flight speed. So it should come as little surprise that top schools want him for their 2021 recruiting classes. With a long recruiting process still ahead, Johnson is trimming down his list.
Taking to Twitter on Sunday, Johnson revealed the top 12 programs currently on his list. Johnson’s list includes more than half of the SEC, along with the Big 12 titans and some Power Five programs closer to his home in Virginia. The list consists of Alabama, Arkansas, Auburn, Georgia, LSU, Ole Miss, South Carolina, Tennessee, Maryland, Virginia Tech, Oklahoma, and Texas.
As of writing, he is not known to have visited any of the schools he listed. Though with current NCAA recruiting restrictions, he probably won’t get his chance to for a while.
247Sports rates Malcolm Johnson as the No. 202 overall prospect in the Class of 2021. He is the No. 37 wide receiver in the country, and the No. 6 prospect from the state of Virginia.

As a junior at St. Stephen’s & St. Agnes High School, Johnson caught 47 passes for 832 yards – an impressive 17.7 yards per catch – and seven touchdowns.
If that speed translates to the college level, Johnson could be a dangerous weapon for any of the 12 programs he’s put on his list.
Which school will (or should) Johnson take his talents to?
