Fuente had been linked to a number of openings.

Virginia Tech's Justin Fuente has compiled a 19-7 record over two seasons in Blacksburg, and he has his Hokies set to play in the Camping World Bowl against Oklahoma State.

Fuente's name was mentioned as a potential fit for head coaching openings at Tennessee, Florida and Florida State. He has made it clear he isn't leaving.

In fact, Fuente confirmed to the media today he was approached by other schools, and "declined to talk" to all of them.

This is music to Hokies' fans ears.

As long as Fuente keeps winning at VT, his name will be brought up for other jobs. However, it is a good sign that he refused all advances this time around.
