Former Virginia star Chris Williams has passed away at the age of 36.
Williams, who played at Virginia from 1999-2002, passed away due to blood clots going to his heart, per Virginia's 247Sports affiliate.
During his time with the Cavaliers, the 6-foot-7 Williams was the ACC Rookie of the Year in 1998-99 when he averaged 16.8 points and 7.5 rebounds. For his career, Williams scored 1,812 points (15.2 per game) and hauled in 786 rebounds (6.6 per game).
