This past Sunday, there was a shooting that left three members of Virginia's football team dead. Running back Mike Hollins was hospitalized after being shot in the back.

On Thursday night, the college football world received an update on Hollins.

Thankfully, Hollins is walking again. A video of him taking his first steps since the shooting surfaced on social media.

Hollins' sister, Ebony Hollins-Allen, commented on his recovery.

"He’s walking,” Hollins-Allen said. “Of course, with assistance with his walker, but he’s walking. He’s walking.”

Here's the video of Hollins walking in the hospital:

Hollins-Allen called her brother's recovery process remarkable.

“Everybody is amazed at how much and how fast he is progressing. And I believe it is because he is determined,” she said. “His progress in his recovery is so rapid at this point, that, you know, it could be soon, hopefully soon. But we’re going to be here as long as we need to, as long as his recovery takes. We’re going to be here.”

Hollins underwent two surgeries because of the shooting. Hopefully, he'll be back to 100 percent soon.

The Virginia community as a whole is still hurting at this time. D’Sean Perry, Devin Chandler and Lavel Davis Jr. were taken from this world way too soon.

We're hoping Hollins and everyone else impacted by this shooting get the support they need.
