Villanova Still No. 1 In Both Coaches Poll, AP Poll

AP college basketball Poll shows No. 8 though No. 11.

With just two weeks left in college basketball's regular season, the Villanova Wildcats remain the No. 1 ranked team in both the AP Poll and the Coaches' Poll. The Wildcats, owners of a 24-3 record, knocked off both Temple and Butler to remain top dog. Kansas, now two games clear in the Big 12 standings, comes in No. 2 in both polls. Virginia, Oklahoma and Xavier are also among teams ranked in the top five.

North Carolina, Iowa and Maryland fell after losses. The week's big winners? Oregon, Indiana, Baylor - all of which jumped up a number of spots.

Villanova, in its quest to finish the regular season atop the polls, travels to No. 5 Xavier on Wednesday. They the finish the season with Marquette, DePaul and Georgetown.
