Virginia vs. Iowa State – Game Time, TV Channel, Announcers, Betting Line, Predictions
The Midwest region of this year's NCAA Tournament has been the most unpredictable thus far - especially because of Michigan State's loss - but on the top half of the bracket we've got an all-chalk matchup in the Sweet 16. Virginia, the 1-seed, knocked off both Hampton and Butler to advance to Chicago. Iowa State, the 4-seed, held off Iona and handled upstart Little Rock to do the same.
Virginia and Iowa State play very different styles. The Cavaliers are one of the most efficient defensive teams in the country, while the Cyclones can fill it up. Will UVA be able to slow down Georges Niang and ISU's high-powered offense? We'll find out.
Date: Friday, March 25
Time: 7:10 p.m. ET

Location: Chicago, Illinois
Announcers: Kevin Harlan, Dan Bonner, Reggie Miller, Rachel Nichols
Opening Betting Line: Virginia -5.5
Prediction: In the age-old great offense vs. great defense battle, you always go with the defense. Iowa State, according to kenpom.com, has the third-ranked offense in the country. But the Cyclones rank 92nd on defense. UVA, on the other hand, is much more balanced, with the sixth-best offense and the fourth-best defense. There's certainly a chance that ISU gets crazy hot, but we'll take our chances.
UVA wins by seven. They'll then get a double-digit seed - either Syracuse, Gonzaga or Middle Tennessee - in the Elite Eight.
