Virginia vs. Michigan State – Game Time, TV Channel, Announcers, Betting Line, Predictions

The Virginia Cavaliers, the 2-seed in the East region of this year's NCAA Tournament, took care of 15-seed Belmont Friday, but it wasn't exactly easy. UVA led 62-60 with just four minutes to play before pulling away and winning by a comfortable 12-point margin. Michigan State, the 7-seed, built a sizable halftime lead on Georgia before holding off a furious rally by the Bulldogs down the stretch. The Cavs and the Spartans will meet for the second straight NCAA Tournament - MSU won last year's Sweet 16 matchup at MSG.

Prediction: You could make a solid argument that both squads were actually better a year ago when they met at Madison Square Garden. Regardless, both teams are legitimate threats to reach this year's Final Four. Both also play a similar grind-it-out style of basketball, though Virginia is clearly the better defensive team, while Michigan State has an easier time scoring.

Aside from an overtime period against Wisconsin, Michigan State has been playing incredible basketball of late. We're going to pick an upset and take the Spartans.
