Although his night ended with a controversial foul, Zion Williamson still electrified Madison Square Garden with his freakish athletic ability. The freshman phenom posted another double-double, as he finished with 17 points and 13 rebounds in Duke's victory over Texas Tech.
While Williamson hasn't even begun conference play in his collegiate career, the media can't help but envision him in the NBA.
During his post-game interview, Williamson was asked about the possibility of playing for the New York Knicks. Well, he made it clear that he would have no trouble playing in the Big Apple.
Even though the 2019 NBA Draft seems so far away, it's hard to ignore Williamson's potential. His ability to defend the length of the court and get to the rim with ease are both traits that scouts will rave over.
The superstar on the Blue Devils wasn't done commenting on the idea of playing for the Knicks. He went even further and said "Playing 41 games here (MSG) wouldn't be so bad."
Williamson is averaging 19.8 points and 9.4 rebounds per game this season.
If New York continues to drop in the NBA Standings, then Williamson might have the opportunity to revitalize the Knicks.
