Baylor QB Seth Russell Fractured His Neck Today Against Iowa State

Baylor quarterback Seth Russell injured his neck during his team's 45-27 win over Iowa State, and it was originally announced as a strained neck. However, further examination revealed the situation was more serious, and Russell had actually suffered a fracture.

Batlor announced the news moments ago.

This is very unfortunate news for Russell and the undefeated Bears. Luckily though, it was not more serious.

Baylor has a bye next week before facing Kansas State on Nov. 5. If Russell is ruled unable to play, Jarrett Stidham will be his replacement. Stidham, a freshman, is 24-for-28 for 331 yards and six touchdowns in limited action this year, including a 12-yard scoring pass on his lone attempt today.
