Solomon has plenty of starting experience.

The Baylor Bears will begin the Matt Rhule era with former Arizona quarterback Anu Solomon as the team's starting signal caller.

Baylor has not officially confirmed the move, but multiple outlets have reported it.

Solomon beat out sophomore Zach Smith and freshman Charlie Brewer.

This will be Solomon's fourth-straight season making an opening day start. The previous three came with Arizona.

Injuries wrecked Solomon's 2016 campaign but he threw for 6,460 yards and 48 touchdowns in 2014 and 2015.

Baylor opens up its 2017 season on Saturday against Liberty.
