Center Cheickna Dembele Cuts List To 10 Schools As Recruitment Heats Up

As coaches continue to prepare their rosters for next basketball seasons, there is a run on the talented players still available in the class of 2016. One of the top centers left is Scotland Performance Institute product Cheickna Dembele, a talented 6-foot-10 shot blocker from Mali, who has offers from some serious power programs. As reported by Syracuse.com's Mike Waters, Dembele has trimmed his list of schools to 10 according to his head coach Jareem Dowling.

On Tuesday, SPI coach Jareem Dowling said Dembele had narrowed his focus to 10 schools. The list includes Syracuse, UNLV, Temple, Michigan State, Missouri, Maryland, St. Joseph's, Iowa State, Baylor and Pittsburgh.

Dembele has a visit to UNLV scheduled, but he still has four official visits available. He's recently been visitedby Jim Boeheim, Tom Izzo, Phil Martelli, and Steve Prohm.
