Kirk Herbstreit Gives Michigan State More Credit For Losing At Oregon Than Baylor For Being 3-0
The Big Ten may have a tough path to the College Football Playoff, but if one team still has a case, it is Michigan State. Even with an early season loss on their ledger, the Spartans have one big name in the college football media behind them: ESPN's Kirk Herbstreit. On College GameDay this morning, during a discussion about Baylor, Herbstreit said that he believes Michigan State deserves more credit for going to Eugene to play Oregon, even in a loss, than Baylor does for beating three "cupcakes" in SMU, Northwestern State, and Buffalo.

Herbstreit may have a point now, but luckily we get to see Baylor and Michigan State against full Big 12 and Big Ten slates, respectively, before the selection committee has to make a decision.
