Ben McLemore is having an incredible year. First, he broke onto the scene with his dancing phenomenon, "The McLemore". Then he began to showcase insane basketball skills on the hardwood and put himself in National Player of the Year discussions. He even led the Jayhawks in their own version of the Harlem Shake.
On Saturday, he was at it again, this time adding to his considerable basketball resume. Against the West Virginia Mountaineers, McLemore broke the Kansas single-game scoring record for a freshman. McLemore dropped 36 points on 12-15 shooting, to go along with 7 rebounds and 4 assists.
The old record was held by Danny Manning, who scored 35 points on this same day 28 years ago.
