Kansas basketball is 10-0 and ranked No. 1 in the country. Things have gone pretty well for the Jayhawks, which is made more impressive by the fact that the team has been shorthanded, especially in the front court with the injury to Udoka Azubuike and ongoing NCAA probe into Silvio De Sousa's eligiblity.

Kansas got some decent news about Azubuike on Tuesday. Ahead of the win over South Dakota, he did some work with the team, and could return before the end of the month.

De Sousa's status is more up in the air, as you'd expect with the NCAA involved.

Kansas basketball coach Bill Self was asked about Silvio De Sousa's status before yesterday's game.

Unfortunately, he doesn't have similar good news about the rising sophomore.

From 247Sports:

To date in the 2018-19 season, De Sousa has been withheld pending a review of his eligibility by KU and the NCAA.

Self was asked if there was any update to his situation, specifically in the scope of the semester now coming to a close.

“Uh, no, I don’t think that has anything to do with it, though, at least to my understanding," Self said. "But no, there’s absolutely no breaking news on that front at all.”

Earlier this season, Self told CBS Sports' Matt Norlander that he had a feeling decision on De Sousa could come around Christmas. The holiday is closing in fast, so maybe we'll know more in the next week or so.
