The Kansas Jayhawks are having a very important visitor on their campus this week. Four-star combo guard Bryce Thompson is in Lawrence for a visit, and Bill Self is going to roll out the red carpet.

Thompson announced on Thursday that he had landed in Lawrence. He is slated to visit the campus for an unofficial visit.

247Sports currently ranks Thompson as the No. 26 overall prospect in the country. He is the No. 5 combo guard in the nation, and the No. 1 prospect from the state of Oklahoma.

The Jayhawks are facing significant competition for Thompson though.

In the past year he has taken official visits to Arkansas, Colorado, Michigan State, Oklahoma, and Texas A&M, per KUSports.com. Earlier this week he took an unofficial visit to NCAA blue blood UNC and another visit to Arkansas.

247Sports' Crystal Ball Predictions indicate that he's leaning towards the Big 12 - but not the Jayhawks.

The Oklahoma Sooners have 50-percent of the current predictions from the analysts who have submitted them to 247. Kansas is second with 33-percent, followed by the Oklahoma State Cowboys at 17-percent.

Only a handful of recruits have made their commitment to the Class of 2020 so far though, so Kansas fans probably won't need to worry if he leaves Lawrence without giving them his pledge at this point.
