Five-star guard Bryce Thompson is a pro-caliber prospect who can be a gem for any college team. Having spent several months visiting schools, he has decided to reduce the size of the field.

Thompson announced yesterday that he has reduced his list to a Top 7. The list consists of Arkansas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Oklahoma State, UNC, and Michigan State.

As for his visits, Rivals noted that he has scheduled five visits in the coming months. He's visiting Texas today, UNC next weekend, and Oklahoma State at the end of September. He'll then see Kansas and Michigan State in October.

247Sports rates Thompson as the No. 18 overall prospect in the Class of 2020. He is the No. 4 combo guard in the nation, and the No. 1 recruit from the state of Oklahoma.

Thompson has already taken multiple visits to Oklahoma, Michigan State, Kansas and Arkansas.

As for his likely destination, 247Sports' Crystal Ball Predictions are currently tipping Oklahoma to get him with 43-percent of the predictions. Kansas and Oklahoma State are tied for second with 29-percent each.

A scouting report written on him this past may draws comparisons to former Washington star and current Spurs guard Dejounte Murray.

Where will Bryce Thompson be taking his talents in 2020?
