Despite Reports, Joel Embiid Claims He Hasn't Made A Decision Yet On The NBA

Update: Embiid's mentor, Luc Mbah a Moute, also claims that the KU center has not made a decision. Mbah a Moute is also from Cameroon - he plays for the Minnesota Timberwolves.

Earlier:Joel Embiid, Kansas' star freshman center who burst onto the scene this past November and instantly made the Jayhawks one of the most formidable teams in the country, has been wavering on whether he'll be entering the NBA Draft after just one collegiate season. Thursday morning, it looks like KU fans are set to be as confused as ever on his future.

Yahoo Sports' Adrian Wojnarowski reported this morning that Embiid has decided to move on to the pros. But it didn't take long for Embiid himself to deny the report on Twitter.

As we've stated in the past with other big-time college stars, this could be an act or it could be the truth - sadly, we just never know anymore.

Embiid, unlike fellow freshmen Andrew Wiggins and Wayne Selden, did not get to play in the postseason this year. A nagging back injury forced him out of both the Big 12 Tournament and the NCAA Tournament. He averaged 11.2 points and 8.1 rebounds per game during the regular season.
