One of the top recruits in college basketball made significant process in his recruitment. Jaemyn Brakefield, a four-star forward from Huntington Prep, announced the top 10 schools on his list.
Brakefield is a dynamic forward from Huntington, West Virginia. The talented 2020 recruit holds offers from over 30 schools and has visited Ole Miss in the past.
According to 247Sports’ rankings, Brakefield is the No. 32 overall recruit and No. 5 power forward in the 2020 class.
With plenty of time remaining before Brakefield has to make his decision, he went on Twitter to reveal the schools remaining in the hunt for his commitment.
It’s a pretty loaded list from Brakefield.
The 10 programs that he’s considering are Auburn, Florida State, Kansas, Louisville, Michigan, Michigan State, Ole Miss, Oregon, UCLA and West Virginia.
His announcement came from his Twitter account.

The most surprising omission from his list is Kentucky.
Every program remaining in the sweepstakes for Brakefield would give him a great opportunity to shine on the hardwood.
Jaemyn Brakefield could decide to stay near his current school and play at West Virginia. The Jackson, Mississippi native also has Ole Miss involved in that top schools list. On the other hand, he has the chance to play for a basketball powerhouse in Kansas or Michigan State.
Since there is no true favorite to land Brakefield’s commitment, it’ll be interesting to see how his recruitment unfolds.
