It appears Les Miles is transitioning nicely to his new role as the head coach of Kansas’ football program. While there is still plenty of work left to be done, the former LSU coach is showing that he can still recruit at a high level.
Kansas has 24 commitments for its 2020 recruiting class, which is highlighted by four-star linebacker Brennon Scott. With several players on board for next year, Miles is now shifting his focus toward his 2021 class.
Fortunately for the Jayhawks, they already have their potential quarterback for the 2021 season. On Tuesday night, the football program landed a commitment from three-star recruit Ben Easters.
Easters announced on Twitter that he’s committing to Kansas, giving the program its second commit for its 2021 recruiting class.
“First I would like to thank my family for always supporting me through my entire football career,” Easters wrote on Twitter. “I wouldn’t be where I am today without them. I would also like to thank my entire coaching staff and all my teammates for making me a better football player and a better person every day. With that, I am extremely excited to announce that I will be committing to the University of Kansas!”

Easters is the No. 39 pro-style quarterback and No. 10 prospect in Indiana, per 247Sports.
Landing quarterback recruits was a challenging task for Kansas in past years, but the presence of Miles seems to be turning the program’s fortune around.
