Earlier this week, the Kansas Jayhawks lost Udoka Azubuike, who sustained an ankle sprain against Wofford on Tuesday. Now, the No. 2 team in the country will have to regroup and prepare for another matchup this weekend.
Despite not having their talented center for the next few weeks, the Jayhawks still have one of the best teams in college basketball. The duo of Lagerald Vick and Devon Dotson can lead the backcourt, while Dedric Lawson has the versatility to carry the entire offense when needed.
In the team’s first game since the injury to Azubuike, Kansas will face New Mexico State tomorrow night.
The Aggies have an impressive 7-1 record, and will look to put a huge blemish on the Jayhawks’ undefeated season.

Bill Self has dealt with injuries in the past, and the depth on this current roster should fill the void of losing an impact player. After all, the Jayhawks have eight players already contributing this year.
Tipoff is set for 8:30 p.m. ET from the Sprint Center in Kansas City.
The game will be available on ESPN2 with Mark Neely and Jon Sundvold on the call.
