Even though Kansas lost its third round NCAA Tournament game this past weekend, Jayhawks fans are still going to have an interesting month ahead of them. KU boasted three of the top freshmen recruits in the country this past season, and fans simply want to know how many of them will be sticking around for year two. Tuesday afternoon, we got an answer on one - much to the delight of the Jayhawks faithful, Wayne Selden Jr. tweeted that he'd be returning for his sophomore season.
Due to an error that's affecting millions of Twitter users, his tweet has since been deleted. But he eased the worries of KU fans with the below update.
Selden was the 14th ranked overall recruit in the country last year, but got nowhere near the attention that fellow first-year stars Andrew Wiggins and Joel Embiid received. In just under 30 minutes of action per game, he averaged 9.7 points and 2.6 rebounds per contest. Expect him to make a big jump next year.
