Lagerald Vick is one of two Kansas basketball players named as a person of interest in a recent vandalism investigation, according to a recent report.
On Thursday, the Kansas City Star reported that Vick and Josh Jackson are involved in the investigation, which centers on nearly $3,000 in damage to a car outside of a Lawrence bar on December 9.
From the report:
Police were called to a parking lot near the Yacht Club on Wisconsin Street just before 2 a.m., according to the report. Officers spoke with the victim, who is the same female student a KU investigation found Vick likely hit in the arm multiple times and kicked in the face in late 2015. A phone number for that student has been disconnected and an attorney for the family has not returned multiple phone calls for comment.
According to FOX 4 News anchor John Holt, the Lawrence Police Department refuted the report that Vick is a "person of interest" in the investigation.
Vick's mother Lauressa “La La” Vick took to Twitter, angered that yesterday is the first she had heard about the investigation of an incident that occurred nearly two months ago.
It is unclear where things go from here for Lagerald Vick and Josh Jackson, but it is weird that yesterday is the first that the mother of one of the players allegedly involved had heard of it.
