Gradey Dick, a 2022 point guard, is a Kansas native and has been garnering plenty of interest from the Midwest powerhouses this summer. Since June he’s picked up offers from the likes of Nebraska, Iowa State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and – of course – Kansas.
After taking visits to Big 12 giants Iowa State and Oklahoma, Dick decided to finally give the Kansas campus a look. He took an unofficial visit to the campus last weekend, and based on his review comments, the Jayhawks made a very good impression.
Speaking to JayhawkSlant, Dick said he was “very impressed” and that “the whole visit was a blast.”
Via The Kansas City Star:
“I was very impressed and thought the tour around the university was crazy. I also got to sit down and meet coach (Bill) Self. The whole visit was a blast.”
Dick previously revealed in an interview with The Kansas City Star that Kansas was his favorite program growing up. He also happens to have two siblings who are Kansas graduates, as well as a brother who currently attends.
Suffice it to say, making a strong impression on his first visit to the school can only bode well.
The Jayhawks are one of a select few schools to already have at least one recruit for the Class of 2022. How long will it take for them to get their second one?
