The last time another program in the Big 12 held the best record in the conference other than Kansas was back in 2004.

Although the Jayhawks haven't been nearly as dominant this season, most projections around the country have them winning the conference.

Without Udoka Azubuike for the remainder of the season, Kansas has relied on Dedric Lawson to lead the frontcourt. He is undeniably one of the best stars in college hoops, as the junior forward is averaging 19.5 points and 10.9 rebounds per contest.

No. 9 Kansas currently owns a 16-3 record with all three of its losses coming on the road.

Despite being inconsistent through the first half of the conference schedule, ESPN's projections have the Jayhawks winning the Big 12.

Kansas has an impressive 56.9 percent chance of winning the conference, meanwhile Iowa State and Texas Tech have the next best odds.

The Cyclones would have seen their chances increase if they took care of business on Monday at Allen Fieldhouse. Iowa State had the lead heading into halftime but fell short to Kansas in a very hostile environment.

As of right now, it appears that the reign of terror for the Jayhawks will continue in the Big 12.
