No. 1 Villanova will take on No. 1 Kansas in a national semifinal game at the Final Four next Saturday. The game will be played at the Alamodome in San Antonio. Tip-off is set for 40 minutes after the conclusion of Michigan and Loyola-Chicago.
Preview: Villanova was one of the title favorites entering the tournament. Boy, they haven't disappointed. The Wildcats controlled all four games of their regional and advanced to the Final Four by beating Texas Tech on Sunday. Jalen Brunson is a National Player of the Year candidate, but Mikal Bridges, Phil Booth, Donte DiVincenzo and Eric Paschall lead a fantastic supporting cast.
Kansas was the No. 1 seed in its region, but was sort of an afterthought. Everyone expected Duke or Michigan State to get out of the Midwest.
However, the Jayhawks outlasted Duke 85-81 in overtime in a classic Elite Eight game to reach the Final Four for first time since 2012.

Did we mention that the winner of both those games went on to win the national championship?
Will history repeat itself this year? We will have to wait to find out. For now, we'll take Villanova's balance and skill to outlast Kansas in a tight game.
