The state of Kansas was abuzz today about the Round of 32 match-up between the favored Kansas Jayhawks and underdog Wichita State Shockers. The seventh-seeded Shockers beat the No.2 seed Jayhawks, 78-65, earning in-state bragging rights.
Kansas Governor Sam Brownback attended the contest, and he wore a neutral t-shirt during the game. Afterwards, however, he was representing the winning squad with his post-game attire.
That shirt isn't going to curry much favor with KU and K-State fans, but Brownback isn't worried.
