President Obama Met With The Kansas Men's Basketball Team Today

President Barack Obama is speaking at the University of Kansas today as part of his post-State of the Union address tour. 

Obama, who lost the state of Kansas to his Republican competitor in both the 2008 and 2012 elections, is speaking at the Anschutz Sports Pavillion next to Allen Fieldhouse on the Lawrence campus. 

Prior to his speech, Obama met with the Kansas men's basketball team.

The Kansas men's basketball team could use some motivation from the President, as the Jayhawks (15-3, 4-1 Big 12) are set to face No. 17 Texas (14-4, 3-2 Big 12) in Austin on Saturday. The game is scheduled to tip off at 2 p.m. E.T. and will be televised on CBS.
