The Kansas Jayhawks have typically struggled to bring first-rate recruits on board, but could be on the verge of turning a corner in 2020. The team is set to host quarterback four-star T.J. Finley with the hopes that he can be their signal-caller for the future.

According to, Finley is set to visit Kansas for his first official visit this weekend. Finley has already committed to the LSU Tigers though, and aside from retweeting the Kansas visit report, has not given any noticeable indication that he's ready to decommit.

LSU is, of course, now coached by former LSU head coach Les Miles.

247Sports rates Finley as the No. 240 prospect in the country. He is considered the No. 9 pro-style quarterback, and the No. 10 prospect from the state of Louisiana.

The 2020 recruiting class will be the first that has been fully put together by newly-appointed head coach Les Miles.

To date, the Jayhawks have four recruits for the class. A quarterback like Finley would give Miles a signal caller capable of giving Kansas a real shot at bowl eligibility.

But Finley has plenty of suitors interested in him. Just about every top program from the southeast has extended an offer, as have several big teams from the west coast.

Last year at Ponchatoula, Finley threw for 2,736 yards and 23 touchdowns with only five interceptions.
