After another wild weekend of college basketball, the Week 18 AP Top 25 poll has been released.
Kansas has emerged as the clear-cut No. 1 team in the country, especially after Baylor’s shocking 75-72 loss to TCU last Saturday. Meanwhile, the Bears slid from No. 2 to No. 4 in Monday’s AP Poll.
Baylor’s small slide has allowed Gonzaga and Dayton to make a jump, as the Bulldogs and Flyers are No. 2 and 3, respectively. Dayton, the nation’s surprise team of the season, is on its way to earning a top seed in the upcoming NCAA Tournament.
Duke, after suffering two ugly losses last week, didn’t take too much damage in the updated top-25 poll. The Blue Devils, previously ranked seventh overall, are now the No. 12 team in the country. Here’s the full Week 18 AP Top 25 poll:
- San Diego State
- Florida State
- Seton Hall
- Michigan State
- Ohio State
- Penn State
The Big Ten is currently dominating the AP Poll as eight teams from the conference are included. The conference is expected to have as many as 10 teams make the NCAA Tournament.
But the Big 12 is still king as both Kansas and Baylor are included in the top-four of the poll. There’s still a strong chance each earns a No. 1 seed for March Madness.
For most teams in the country, this is the final week of the regular season before conference tournaments commence.
