A major college football quarterback transfer could reportedly get blocked.

Kansas State transfer quarterback Alex Delton has decided to transfer out of the Wildcats' program and into TCU.

KSU, though, is reportedly "pondering" a potential blocking of Delton's decision.

CBS Sports' Dennis Dodd had the details:

Kansas State grad transfer quarterback Alex Delton hasn't quite been released to transfer to TCU.

There has been a "slow down" in Delton's transfer status, sources told CBS Sports on Wednesday. At issue is a competitive concern with Delton transferring within the Big 12, sources said.

K-State coaches are evaluating allowing Delton to transfer within the conference. Delton put his name in the transfer portal on Dec. 4.

Delton announced his decision to transfer to TCU on Tuesday night.

Delton is a graduate transfer, so he's eligible to play at another school right away in 2019, but Kansas State could still try to block him from playing for another Big 12 school.

The quarterback threw for 554 yards and 2 touchdowns last season.

TCU was also linked to a couple of other notable transfer quarterbacks, including Jalen Hurts, who opted to go to Oklahoma.

Stay tuned.
