Report: Baylor To Announce Jim Grobe As Program's Interim Head Coach

Following Art Briles' firing, it was reported by many that Baylor defensive coordinator Phil Bennett would be given the title of interim head coach. Monday, it looks like there's been a change of plans. According to multiple reports, Baylor will name former Wake Forest head coach Jim Grobe to the position. Grobe resigned from his former position back in December of 2013.

Grobe coach at Ohio from 1995 to 2000 and Wake Forest from 2001 until 2013. He's one of the most respected coaches in the country.

Baylor247 is also reporting that the rest of the staff will be kept on.

Grobe has a 110-115-1 record as a head coach, with a 3-2 mark in bowl games. It'll be interesting to see if it can become a full-time gig for him after 2016.
