Shane Morris To Start In Place Of Injured Devin Gardner vs. KSU

A tough way to go out?

Update: Here is more information on Gardner's injury:

Earlier: Michigan fans were already under the impression that quarterback Devin Gardner would not be lacing it up for the Wolverines in their matchup with Kansas State in the Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl. Thursday morning, coach Brady Hoke made the news official - backup Shane Morris will start the game.

A photo of Gardner getting off of the team plane in a walking boot surfaced earlier this week. He's said to have suffered a turf toe injury during the team's final regular season game against Ohio State.

Shane Morris, a freshman from Warren, Michigan, says he's been getting tips from Gardner on how to lead the team.

The Wolverines and Wildcats will kick off this Saturday at 10:15 PM EST.
