What Seed Did Kansas State Get In The 2014 NCAA Tournament?

Seed: For the upcoming 2014 NCAA Tournament, the Kansas State Wildcats were given a 9-seed in the Midwest-region. They are coached by Bruce Weber and hail from the Big 12 conference.

Where: They will open play against Kentucky in St. Louis on Friday.

Why: KSU finished the regular season with a 10-8 record in the Big 12. The Wildcats posted notable victories over Gonzaga, George Washington, Kansas, Oklahoma State, Oklahoma, Iowa State, and Texas. Kansas State's season got off to a rocky start with losses to Northern Colorado, Charlotte, and a 90-63 blowout loss to Georgetown, but the Wildcats rebounded and put together a very strong Big 12 resume.

Ceiling: Kansas State has a balanced attack, led by Freshman guard Marcus Foster, who averages a team-high 15.4 points per game. The Wildcats probably aren't a title contender, but they could surprise a few people in the first weekend.
