Iowa State has slain the dragon in Lawrence, using overtime to get it done.
Rallying from a 15-point second-half deficit, Iowa State used 18 three-pointers to shock No. 3 Kansas, 92-89 in overtime. The win snapped Kansas’ 54-game winning streak at Allen Fieldhouse.
The Jayhawks hadn’t lost Allen Fieldhouse since January 2014, and it was their first home loss in Big 12 play since Feb. 2, 2013.
Here’s a look at Kansas’ final possession, which ended on a Svi Mykhailiuk missed three.

With Kansas’ loss, Oregon now holds the longest home-court win streak in college basketball at 39 games.
The KU loss also guarantees there will be a shakeup at the top of the polls this week. No. 2 Baylor is currently down double-figures against Kansas State, so perhaps there will be a pair of top-five upsets in the Big 12 this weekend.
