Baker Mayfield won't be suiting up for the Oklahoma Sooners this fall. However, that doesn't mean he's not pumped for the college football season.

Mayfield took to Twitter on Tuesday afternoon to wish his Sooners well. The rookie quarterback shined during his stint as Oklahoma's starting quarterback.

Mayfield took the Sooners to the College Football Playoff during a Heisman Trophy-winning season. Now Kyler Murray will attempt to fill his shoes during the 2018 season.

Here's Mayfield's message to the Sooners.

Oklahoma opens the season against Lane Kiffin and the Florida Atlantic Owls on Saturday. The game is scheduled for a 12:00 p.m. ET kickoff time and will be broadcast on FOX.

Oklahoma is once again the favorite to win the Big 12 and new quarterback Kyler Murray is in the running for the Heisman Trophy.
