No. 32 is no more.

Blake Griffin is officially a member of the Detroit Pistons. That means not only joining a new team, but wearing a new number.

Griffin has worn No. 32 throughout his entire NBA career. However, that's not an option in Detroit.

The Pistons retired No. 32 in February of last year in honor of former guard Richard Hamilton. Hamilton starred for the Pistons from 2002-11 and helped the franchise win an NBA title in 2004.

With No. 32 off the table, Griffin is turning the clock back nearly a decade. He will wear No. 23 with the Pistons, the same digits he wore as a star at the University of Oklahoma.

The last time Griffin wore 23, he averaged 22.7 points and 14.4 rebounds, leading the Sooners to the Elite Eight of the 2009 NCAA Tournament.

Oh yeah, Griffin also became the No. 1 pick in the NBA Draft later that year, so we'd have to say No. 23 treated him well and vice versa.

It will still take some time to get used to him in a new jersey, however.

Griffin will be officially introduced to the media later this afternoon.

His first game with his new team will likely be tomorrow against the Memphis Grizzlies.
