Pat Haden surprised everyone watching the USC-Stanford game Saturday when ABC's footage of the contest showed the Trojans' athletic director running onto the field to discuss a call with a referee. The 61-year-old has since been fined $25K for his actions.
Later in the game, Haden, in an interview with ABC's sideline reporter, Heather Cox, said that he came down to the field from his suite because coach Steve Sarkisian texted him, asking him to come to his side.
Today, Oklahoma coach Bob Stoops was asked what would happen if he sent a similar text to his athletic director during a contest.
That's likely the response most athletic directors would have if their coaches texted them during a game.
