Oklahoma jumped from No. 7 to No. 3 in the latest College Football Playoff rankings, unveiled last night. If the Sooners beat rival Oklahoma State this weekend, they will all but lock up a playoff berth.

After a loss to a bad Texas team in October, the Sooners have gotten things rolling, winning six in a row. ESPN's Skip Bayless today declared OU the best team in college football.

Now, to add a dash of salt to this, Bayless is an admitted Oklahoma fanatic. Still, the "First Take" personality's opinion here isn't unfounded. The Sooners have the talent to hang with and beat anyone, particularly with a healthy Baker Mayfield at quarterback. If they make the CFP, they'll be a tough out for certain.
