Oklahoma quarterback Baker Mayfield is guaranteed to be selected pretty early in the 2018 NFL Draft. It is just a matter of when he goes.

There are a number of quarterback-hungry teams picking in the top 10. Will one of them decide Mayfield is the guy? Or will teams pass because they are concerned about his size or the dreaded "character concerns?"

One thing is for sure. NFL mock drafts that are released around this time of the year should be taken with a grain of salt. The NFL Combine hasn't happened yet, and neither has free agency. Mock drafts now are really just to stir up conversation.

Still, let's take a look at some of the major expert mocks out there and where they have Mayfield going.

That's just four projections, but right now, the Jets are a popular pick. God knows they need a franchise quarterback.

However, the Jets are rumored to be interested in free agent QB Kirk Cousins. If they spend on him, they likely won't draft Mayfield.

One thing is certain, Mayfield won't be in attendance at the draft. He already announced he will watch from home with family, friends and coaches.

The NFL Draft will be held from April 26-28 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Tex.
