Oklahoma won the Big 12 yesterday but lost star wide receiver Marcquise “Hollywood” Brown to an injury in the process.
Brown suffered a leg injury on the final play of the third quarter in yesterday’s win over Texas. He was spotted on crutches and then in a walking boot post-game.
All OU fans who are holding their breath can relax a little bit though. According to ESPN’s Rece Davis, the Sooners believe Brown will be ready for the playoff.
Davis delivered this update on ESPN’s College Football Playoff selection show. Oklahoma earned the No. 4 spot in the field.
They will play Alabama in the Orange Bowl on Dec. 29 at either 4 p.m. or 8 p.m. ET.
.@ESPN_ReceDavis indicates Hollywood Brown will be ready for the playoff. Big news for the Sooners after suffering the injury against Texas.

Brown recorded his second-straight 1,000-yard season this year. He has hauled in 70 receptions for 1,264 yards and 10 touchdowns.
If the Sooners are going to want to upset Alabama, they are going to need their offense at full strength.
Hopefully the rest will do Brown good and he will be 100 percent four weeks from now.
