Jalen Hurts was already considered one of the favorites to win this year's Heisman Trophy entering Week 8. Once this weekend of college football wraps up, he might be well on his way to winning the award.
There were a few question marks about how Hurts would perform in Lincoln Riley's offense before the season began. Any doubt about the former Alabama quarterback has disappeared because of his production.
Hurts struggled to take care of the football against Texas last weekend, but he's bounced back in a big way this Saturday against West Virginia.
It's actually fair to say that Hurts is having a flawless game right now. He's completed 11-of-11 pass attempts for 190 yards and two touchdowns.
The dual-threat quarterback also has seven carries for 56 rushing yards and a touchdown.
Hurts' performance this afternoon has Oklahoma in full control against West Virginia.
At this pace, Hurts could go for at least six total touchdowns this afternoon.
It'll be interesting to see how much longer Hurts can go without throwing an incomplete pass. The fact that he's played almost the entire first half without one bad pass attempt is absurd.
Oklahoma leads 28-7 over West Virginia in the second quarter.
