For just the second time of his Oklahoma career, Joe Mixon will speak to the media this afternoon.
Last year ahead of the Orange Bowl, Mixon had his first ever media availability as a member of the Sooners, over a year after he punched Oklahoma student Amelia Molitor in the face at a bar, landing him a one year suspension. During that press conference, it was announced that anyone asking non-football questions would be escorted out.
At 2 p.m., Mixon will face the media for just the second time, and the first time in Norman.
This press conference comes a week after video of the incident was released to the public, bringing a new wave of scrutiny upon Mixon, head coach Bob Stoops, and the Oklahoma program.
As of now, there are no indications that Oklahoma will attempt to stop questions about the assault. That, as well as Mixon's future with Oklahoma football, are likely to be the focal points.
