Joel Klatt's Top 5 Quarterbacks List Has A Surprising Omission

Joel Klatt speaks on FS1.

FOX Sports' Joel Klatt put out an interesting list on Friday morning.

Louisville quarterback Lamar Jackson won the Heisman Trophy last year in overwhelming fashion after putting together a campaign that included over 3,500 yards through the air, over 1,500 yards on the ground and 51 touchdowns. But according to one FOX Sports analyst, he isn't even a top five quarterback heading into this season.

Joel Klatt put out his list of the top five signal-callers in the country Friday morning, and it doesn't include Jackson. Many are upset.

Klatt's list includes Penn State's Trace McSorley, Oklahoma's Baker Mayfield, Oklahoma State's Mason Rudolph, Ohio State's J.T. Barrett and USC's Sam Darnold.

Check it out:

It might be fair to say that Jackson doesn't have the same pro potential at quarterback as the players on his list, but if we're just talking about the college game, his omission is a joke. Expect Jackson to try to prove everyone wrong again this year.
