Kansas will head into 2019 with just one loss on the season, which came on the road against Arizona State. With an 11-1 record, the Jayhawks look primed for another successful year in the Big 12.

With conference play ready to begin all around the country, No. 5 Kansas will host No. 23 Oklahoma on Wednesday.

The Sooners have relied on Christian James to carry the offense this season, as the senior guard is averaging 17.9 points per game. Outside of a blowout loss to Wisconsin, Oklahoma has won most of its games in convincing fashion.

However, the Sooners will be tested greatly this week against the Jayhawks.

Now that Udoka Azubuike has returned from his sprained ankle, Bill Self has four impact players that he can depend upon. The potential-packed center provides stability to Kansas' defense, meanwhile Dedric Lawson and Lagerald Vick are the top two scorers on the team.

As usual, the Jayhawks should be the favorites to win the conference this year.

If Oklahoma is going to dethrone Kansas in the Big 12, then defeating the Jayhawks on the road would be quite the statement.

Tipoff is set for 9:00 p.m. ET from Allen Fieldhouse.

The game will be broadcast on ESPN2.
