4-star running back Kennedy Brooks committed to Oklahoma Monday morning.
The running back form Mansfield, Texas picked the Oklahoma Sooners over the Wisconsin Badgers and Arkansas Razorbacks. According to 247Sports, Kennedy Brooks is the No. 19 running back in the country and the No. 240 overall player.
Brooks turned in a solid performance in his sophomore year, rushing for 1,271 yards on 169 carries with 14 touchdowns. The senior broke out during his junior season, and compiled 3,522 yards on 431 carries and while racking up 42 touchdowns. Through just five games so far this season, Brooks has rushed for 1,185 yards and 16 touchdowns.
The senior tailback had offers from 11 Power-5 teams, including the Texas A&M Aggies, Tennessee Volunteers, and Michigan Wolverines. Brooks joins fellow 4-star running back Trey Sermon, who committed to Oklahoma in late April. The two will duke it out to try to become the next Adrian Peterson, who starred for the Sooners from 2004-2006.
Oklahoma currently has the No. 5 recruiting class for 2017.
