The NFL offseason has almost run its course, which has fans getting anxious for football once again. It also means we’re nearing closer to the debut of Kyler Murray.
Despite the concerns over his height, the Heisman Trophy winner became the No. 1 overall pick in this year’s NBA Draft.
In his only season as the starter for Oklahoma, Murray threw for 4,361 yards and 42 touchdowns. His season ended against Alabama in the College Football Playoff.
Arizona is coming off an abysmal season and is in desperate need of a franchise quarterback. Perhaps the combination of Murray and Kliff Kingsbury can help restore the franchise to prominence.
The Cardinals haven’t generated much buzz over the past few years, but that is all about to change with Murray at the helm.
On Tuesday, the NFL announced that it will nationally televise Murray’s first three preseason games.
Here are the dates and broadcasts of these televised games:
- Cardinals vs. Chargers on Saturday, Aug. 8 on NFL Network
- Raiders vs. Cardinals on Saturday, Aug. 15 on ESPN
- Cardinals vs. Vikings on Saturday, Aug. 24 on NFL Network
Fans will have more than enough opportunities to watch the dual-threat quarterback play this preseason.
Murray proved a lot of doubters wrong during his time with the Sooners. We’ll see if he can do the same in the NFL soon enough.
