Fans packed Memorial Stadium to witness Oklahoma's annual spring game on Saturday.

The Sooners reported 75,360 people at the exhibition, marking the nation's highest spring game attendance this year. Saturday's showcase delivered the unofficial team debut of quarterback Dillon Gabriel, who got his first exposure to his new school's passionate fan base.

The UCF transfer responded to the full house with a famous rallying cry before sending another message of gratitude on Twitter.

"Sooner Nation is one of a kind!" Gabriel posted on Saturday night. "The whole team is blessed to have y’all’s support! We love you all!

He told reporters after the game, via Ryan Chapman of Sports Illustrated's All Sooners, what it meant to see so many attend the April exhibition.

“I was notified that it would be lower bowl and that would be packed,” Gabriel said. “… But the moment I saw (fans) up at the top and that whole stadium be packed just like a gameday, man it’s just a great feeling to know that Sooner Nation’s got our back."

Gabriel, who flipped his transfer commitment from UCLA to Oklahoma, accounted for 11 touchdowns (nine passing, two rushing) in three games for the Knights last season before breaking his collarbone. The redshirt junior recorded 70 passing touchdowns to 14 interceptions during three years at UCF.

He'll look to guide the Sooners to Big 12 glory alongside first-year head coach Brent Venables. Gabriel can expect another massive crown when Oklahoma opens the season against UTEP on September 3.
